All members are expected to read and follow the rules of the website.
A first-time offense will result in a verbal warning.
A second-time offense will result in a warning on your profile as well as a verbal warning.
A third-time offense will result in a permaban.
The third and eleventh rules are the only exceptions. Breaking those rules is an instant permaban.

1. Respect all staff members and other members as well. We're all here to get along and be a community, and respecting each other is important.
2. Keep foul language to a minimum. Swearing is allowed, but it's appreciated if you don't use every post as an opportunity to demonstrate your expletive repertoire.
3. No sexually explicit or otherwise graphic material is permitted. If you're posting artwork, it may not contain artistic nudity, although anything that happens to include blood may be posted within a spoiler, with a content warning. Gore and pornography are strictly forbidden and may not be posted, linked or otherwise.
4. Advertising is only allowed within Barn Raising. Additionally, only personal websites (with essays) or other kin forums may be advertised. In other words: NO pack advertisements. Personal advertisements for your art websites or YouTube channel should be contained to media threads or your profile.
5. Politics are to stay off the forum. Religion may be discussed, but not debated. These get too hairy too easily and are entirely forbidden here.
6. Outside drama is not allowed in. Do not bring in any outside drama to the site. If you have a beef with someone from here off-site, you are free to talk about it off-site all you want, but the moment you bring it here, you will be risking a ban. However, contact an admin if there is a big enough problem with someone so we can decide if the person should be allowed to stay on the forum. We don't want petty spats, but legitimately dangerous people don't deserve a place here.
7. Discuss topics civilly. We're all competent people who can act appropriately and debate and discuss. Do not let a debate turn into a fight.
8. Do not repost anything posted here within the private boards on other sites. It is a blatant disregard for the privacy of your fellow forum members.
9. Anyone under the age of 13 is not allowed to join. If you are under 13 and attempt to join, you will be banned, though you are free to join once you are of age. This is not just our rule but Proboards' as well.
10. You must post an introduction to become a full member. If you're a lurker, we have boards with good resources for you to peruse, but if you'd like to participate in the community, we need you to at least introduce yourself. You aren't required to post beyond that, but gaining access to the full forum will necessitate an intro at least.
11. Sexual discussions of any sort with members under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited. We will not and do not condone any sort of discussion like this. It is not only against forum rules but against the law and will be treated as such.
12. One account per physical body. This is to keep in check the number of members on the site.
13. You can request access to the adult board by requesting to join the adult user group. As you might expect, this is limited to adult users. If we discover you're lying about your age, you will be permanently banned. Being in the adult group is opt-in. Even if we know you're an adult from elsewhere, you need to request to join the group. You must post an introduction and become a full member before you will be allowed to join this group, and you must have included your age in your profile (doesn't need to be public since staff can access it).
